- Summary
- It's 1918, and a war-weary Major with a ragtag squadron of young legionnaires is assigned to a remote Moroccan outpost. Their mission is to secure a French government archaeological dig that is looting an ancient tomb of its Arab treasure. The troops' presence is not at all welcome by the Arab chieftain El Krim, who vows to expel the French intruders at any cost. But the French steadfastly refuse to leave.
