Summary
"In part, this book is about the ongoing lawsuit launched by the Toronto-based Committee on Monetary and Economic Reform (COMER), seeking to require the BOC to return to its original mandate. Beyond Banksters explores how that appropriation happened, and how the BOC lawsuit is now being undermined by Justin Trudeau's Liberal government. That government is planning to greatly increase Canada's sovereign debt through $120 billion in infrastructure spending, with the money borrowed from investors by a new Canada Infrastructure Bank. In telling that factual story, this book also lifts the curtain on little-known aspects of recent history, including the financial industry's involvement in the brutal crackdown on Occupy Wall Street; the PR campaign to "save capitalism" since 2011; the banks profiting from the sell-off of Ontario's Hydro One; the bankrupting of Iceland and its fight back; Bilderberg and the targeting of Denmark for electricity privatization; and the ruinous pending trade deals that threaten any attempts to regulate the banks. As the reader will see, all of these aspects are directly connected to major financial players--like the Bank for International Settlements, McKinsey & Company, BlackRock, and Bilderberg - who are orchestrating our future."--, Provided by publisher
