Summary
The Great, Season One, is a satirical, comedic drama, based on the occasional historical fact, about the rise of Catherine the Great. From creator and Academy Award nominated writer, Tony McNamara, comes a fictionalized, fun and anachronistic story of an idealistic romantic young girl who arrives from Prussia for an arranged marriage to the mercurial Emperor Peter hoping for love and sunshine.
