Summary

Born on the doomed planet Krypton, Kara Zor-El escaped at the same time as her cousin, Superman, but didn't arrive on Earth until years later, after being lost. Raised by her adopted family, the Danvers, Kara grew up in the shadow of her foster sister, Alex, and learned to hide the phenomenal powers she shares with her famous cousin and keep her identity a secret. Years later, Kara lives in National City working for fierce taskmaster Cat Grant, alongside friends Winn Scott and James Olson (who has tranferred from Metropolis). Kara's days of keeping her talents secret are over when the secret agency where her sister works enlists her to help them protect the world from sinister threats. Though Kara struggles to balance her extraordinary skills with her human emotions, her heart soars when she takes to the skies as Supergirl
