THIRDS: Book One When homicide detective Dexter J. Daley{u2019}s testimony helps send his partner away for murder, the consequences{u2014}and the media frenzy{u2014}aren{u2019}t far behind. He soon finds himself sans boyfriend, sans friends, and, after an unpleasant encounter in a parking garage after the trial, he{u2019}s lucky he doesn{u2019}t find himself sans teeth. Dex fears he{u2019}ll get transferred from the Human Police Force{u2019}s Sixth Precinct, or worse, get dismissed.
