Summary
Harriet Browning forms a Friday night movie club with three friends, to see all the films she was deprived of as a child. Breaking in on this cinematic world, along with the 1998 ice storm, come two Hollywood refugees: Aunt Leah, the wife of a screenwriter blacklisted in the '50's, and her sardonic would-be-writer stepson Jack. They bring harsh reality and illuminate the pull of family and friendship, the sting of infidelity and revenge, and the shock of illness and sudden loss. Some strong language. 2003
