Summary
Maggie Dillon has always worried about what might happen to her family’s cozy but fragile life in Duchess Creek, BC. When her father is killed in a logging accident, Maggie thinks her worst fear has come true, but then her mother abruptly drops Maggie and her sister off with a gloomy couple, and doesn’t return.
